About Me?
Ugh…I always hate this question and I never know what to say. So, here’s the short version…
I am a portrait and wedding photographer based in Northern California. I discovered photography as a child, but never had the opportunity to explore it. I continued onto college getting a degree in Human Development, worked in labor and delivery, and later went on to graduate school. It was in graduate school where I was reintroduced to photography. I started photographing everything in sight and that lead to photographing friends and family and here we are!
What do I like to photograph?
Hmmm…I’d have to say children and weddings. I really enjoy the true emotion and joy that both groups seem to bring out in others and in those I am photographing. Pets are fun too!
What am I passionate about aside from photography?
I am a bit of a nut about building and supporting a sustainable business. I believe in recycling and minimizing waste and reusing our resources so that others can enjoy our planet in the future. When possible, you will catch me using recycled products or conducting most of my business electronically. I am a Wild Magnolia Design client, meaning, I provide their beautiful eco-friendly books. Wild Magnolia Design is the FIRST in the world to offer eco-friendly, archival album. They make everything from scratch — that’s right, scratch. If you’re interested in reading more about them, visit their website.
Some of my favorite things:
- Desserts (I really like food!) – I love, love, love chocolate thanks to Annabelle’s Chocolate Lounge.
- Sushi
- Boba
- CrossFit/Exercise and weight lifting
- Sports – various — I like watching them too!
- Movies/Television shows (I love watching anything that makes me laugh)
- Spending time with close friends and family
- Photography (duh! heehee)
- Pebble Beach
- My super cute kitties
- Charities – Children PSC Foundation
- Gadgets like the iPhone and iPad
What am I like on a photo shoot?
Well, I’m usually pretty high energy and enthusiastic – I’m basically a big kid! You’ll expect to hear me talk a lot (what’s new) and provide a lot of encouragement throughout our shoot. I’m open to ideas and enjoy feedback in helping make each shoot unique. I hope that you feel like we just hung out for a little bit and happen to grab some fabulous photos while we were at it.
So, now you know a little more about me, I invite you to take a look around the website and blog. Please feel free to drop me a line if any questions should arise!! info@victoriaflowerphoto.com
